The Tom Boy Prospect is located outside Hailey down Croy Creek Canyon. It’s an easy walk from the Carbonate Mountain Trailhead. The mine site is mostly some old tailing piles. I did spot some metal artifacts. It has a great view of the Wood River Valley and Croy Creek Canyon.
Directions
Park at the Carbonate Mountain Trailhead and head up the mountain. I took the straight shot up the gulch but you can zig zag to make it less steep. It was about a one mile hike to the mine site.
