This mine is located down Parker Gulch east of the Elkhorn neighborhood. The mine is located pretty much on the road and was accessible in the winter. You can see the tailing piles from the road and easily access the collapsed mine entrances.
The dog had a hard time with the depth of the snow. There was a very large bird nest in the tree by this mine. I like to think it was a bald eagle nest.
Directions
This mine is located east of Sun Valley down Parker Gulch. Just drive down Parker Gulch past the large house with the tennis courts. There is a turn out plowed about a quarter mile from the mine.
