Red Hornet Mine – Hailey, ID

The Red Hornet mine is a silver mine located outside of Hailey down Rock Creek Road. The mine consists of several tailings piles and a few collapsed openings. One of the mine opening structures is still visible. There are a lot of wood and metal artifacts laying around.

Edres Mine – Bellevue, ID

The Edres Mine is a lead and silver mine located down Townsend Gulch outside of Bellevue. The mine entrance is still visible and with bars preventing entrance into the mine. There are lot's of metal and wood artifacts lying around. The tailing piles are visible from pretty far away.

Nip and Tuck Creek Placer – Stanley, ID

The Nip and Tuck Creek Placer is located just outside Lower Stanley. You can walk to it from in town. There is some evidence of excavation on the eastern side of the road but there aren't really any visible artifacts. We did see some elk grazing on the ridge.

Eureka Mine – Hailey, ID

The Eureka Mine is located in Bullion Gulch outside of Hailey. The mine has many collapsed structures and one standing building. The mine also has an exposed mine shaft. I dropped a rock into the shaft and never heard it hit the bottom. Use extreme caution when visiting this mine. There are large tailing piles on either side of the road. There are lot's of artifacts scattered around the area.
