The Homestake Gold Occurrence is located down Little Casino Creek. You can access the trailhead from Casino Creek Campground. There is a small private residence right before you reach the mine. It was still very snowy when we went and I was not able to make it to the mine itself. I could see a yellow sign on the ridge above the trail.
Directions
Depending on the time of year, you will either park on highway 75 and walk in (winter) or park at the Casino Creek Campground and Little Casino Creek trailhead. The mine is a short walk from the campground.
