The Nip and Tuck Creek Placer is located just outside Lower Stanley. You can walk to it from in town. There is some evidence of excavation on the eastern side of the road but there aren’t really any visible artifacts. We did see some elk grazing on the ridge.
Directions
From Lower Stanley, head out Nip and Tuck Road. The placer mine is located about a quarter mile from highway 75.
